The Whisper Tower is a signature structure for the communication of nature and the elements to the city. Positioned at the edge of Tai Po Kau, its design is meant to serve with grace its strategic function of early typhoon detection warning during inclement weather and gauging real-time the threat of tsunamis and storm tidal events, whilst at other times performing as a serene landmark and the educational mission of informing the public about extreme tide. 

As the site can be considered a confluence of land, water and air, our design responds through twisting the programmatically-required volumes according to surrounding landmarks, prevailing wind direction, and sea currents, and as thus creating the resulting composition.
